Coupled with the Group’s operation of actual physical supermarkets, it seems that WE Product Awards carry with them both the quantitative and qualitative credibility required to run this Awards initiative.
The Awards aim to applaud excellence based on three parameters: sales numbers on the platform, total score of customer reviews and product preference in terms of how often a client orders the same product over a period of time.
Sales numbers on the platform essentially deal with the quantitative data required to draw conclusions. The Awards take a specific period of time and assess the total sales numbers of products that belong in the same category to infer conclusions. Customer Reviews deal with reviews provided via the platform, email or social media and are a qualitative metric that results in an overall score. Product preferences demonstrate the frequency with which a product is ordered by different clients i.e. the value of repeating customers.
Each category will include a winner and 3 shortlisted brands, paying credit to products that might not have won but are high on the preference of the consumer.
Product winners will be presented with the Award, a certificate and free visiblity on all media outlets of the Group, which include social media channels, official Group websites and curated content on wenewsmedia.com. WE Group’s customer database measures thousands of entries, all of which will receive press releases and newsletters in relation to the Awards, further enhancing the effort of the brands to excel in a highly competitive environment.
